Veterinarian

gabriel

DR. GABRIEL CHIDA MRCVS

Hi, I am Gabriel,  I have been in small Animal Practice for over 7 years and nothing gives me more satisfaction than working with animals.  Unlike many other professions I think being a vet is like a way of life, I can't say i am going to work, I think wherever I am I'm still a vet so feel free to talk to me about your animals wherever we meet.  Surgery is my passion and I am currently working towards a Post Graduate Qualification in Small Animal Surgery.

JOANNA FERGUSON V.N

My name is Joanna Ferguson, I am a qualified Veterinary Nurse at the Wellpets clinics in the Weston-Super-Mare area. I have been a Veterinary Nurse for 13 years and have enjoyed working in various areas including emergency care, exotics, equine and farm, canine hydrotherapy and small animal practice. At the moment I have two English Cocker Spaniels called "Oliver" and "Kimmie" but in the past have also owned horses, cats, a chinchilla and tropical fishI love caring for my pets and enjoy extending that care to other peoples pets who are part of their family

Veterinary Nurse

tamsinTAMSIN FERRIS

My name is Tamsin, I was born in Bristol but raised in Devon and moved back up to Weston-Super-Mare when I was about 6, and have been here ever since! I have 3 cats, "Felix", "Misha" and "Minty", although I would love to have a dog but am not at home enough at the moment. I love my friends, travelling, reading and music, my most exciting experience so far has to be when I sky-dived for a children's charity last year - absolutely amazing!

Why do I come to work every morning?

It it's hard to understand how an animal feels, they can't tell you where it hurts like people can. I come to work to play a part in the cat or dog getting better- animals can't say thank you but nothing beats a happy dog's waggy tail!!!

RACHEL ROBERTS

Hi, I'm Rachel.  I've been a nurse for three and a half years. I am currently working towards my NVQ3 in veterinary nursing. I am owned by a little cheeky ginger and white cat called Maddie who loves nothing better than a big plate of tuna and the prime spot on the sofa!!During my spare time I enjoy dining out, socializing with friends and watching live entertainment. My mission statement:

Ever since I can remember, being an animal lover defines who I am. Veterinary medicine has always fascinated me and captured my attention. Having the opportunity to work for Wellpets, and being able to promote pet health and healing has fulfilled an ambition and enables me to feel proud about what I do.

Receptionist

        tracy

TRACY DISNEY

My name is Tracy, a Receptionist at Wellpets. I grew up in Weston spending most of my childhood in a saddle. I have two lovely moggies called Meshoe and Mesocks who I rescued as kittens. My hobbies are Horse-riding, going to the gym and cycling. I also love food and dine out a lot.

What gets me out of bed in the morning, apart from the obvious reasons of having to work in order to survive. I feel so glad and happy that I have a role to play as a Veterinary Receptionist, I love the interaction between the client and their pet, the day is so varied and involved, it is never boring, not knowing what the day will bring, sharing clients emotions, seeing the joy on their faces when their beloved pet gets better, an animal being saved from certain death and sharing in the happiness when they take their animal home. A happy client makes a happy receptionist which makes the job worth doing and I think that's what you call motivation.
