Terms & Conditions

  Thank you for entrusting the care of your animal to Wellpets Animal Hospital Ltd. This section details our Practice Terms and Conditions. Some aspects of the Terms and Conditions may not be relevant to you. We ask that you read this section fully and if needed ask for further explanation/clarification.

FEES
All fees, diets and drug charges are subject to VAT at the current rate. Fee levels are determined by expertise, time spent on a case, procedures, drugs, materials, consumables, diets etc.  A detailed invoice for every transaction is available upon request.

OUT OF HOURS TREATMENT

Wellpets Animal Hospital Ltd offers an Out Of Hpours Servive, the fee for this service is at a higher rate; please contact your branch for costs.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

Accounts are due for settlement at the end of each consultation, the discharge of your animal or upon collection of any diets or other items.

For your convenience we accept:

CASH

CHEQUE with current Bankers Card

CREDIT /DEBIT CARD - Switch, Solo, MasterCard, Visa, Delta

ESTIMATES OF TREATMENT COST

We can provide a written estimate as to the probable costs of a course of treatment. Please bear in mind that any estimate given can only be approximate - often an animals  illness will not follow a conventional course.

SETTLEMENT TERMS

Payment is due at the end of each consultation and if further reminders have to be sent, further charges will be incurred as follows:

Issue of Final Demand for payment = £5.00

Overdue accounts will be either transfered to our Debt Collection Ageny or reffered directly to court after due notice to you, and further charges will be levied in respect of the costs incurred in collecting the debt. We also reserve the right to charge interest at 3% per month for non-payment (this interest charge will commence from the date after the treatment). In extreme cases non payment may result in Wellpets Animal Hospital Ltd requesting that you find alternative veterinary care for your animals.

INABILITY TO PAY

If, for any reason, you are unable to settle your account as specified, please discuss the matter as soon as possible with a member of staff, so that they can try and help.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

Wellpets Animal Hospital Ltd require at least 24 hours notice to fill a repeat prescription, it is our policy to re-assess an animal that is on long term medication every 6 months (this may vary depending on the medication).

It is also our policy to routinely see any animal every 12 months for routine medications such as flea and worm treatments.

PET INSURANCE

Wellpets Animal Hospital Ltd strongly advises that you insure your animals against illness accidents as well as third party cover, Wellpets Animal Hospital Ltd can not however recommend specific companies but do advise thorough research. It is your responsiblity to clear your account at the time of treatment and then claim from your Insurance Company, direct claims can be made, however this will incur a fee payable to wellpets at the time of handing in your Insurance form.

OWNERSHIP OF RECORDS

Case records including radiographs and similar documents are the property of the practice, and will normally be retained by the practice for a minimum of 7 years. Copies with a summary of history will be passed on request to any veterinary surgeon taking over the case. Where any significant expense is involved in providing such copies, for example, with the provision of radiographs, a charge will be made.

VARIATION IN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

No addition or variation of these conditions will bind the practice unless specifically agreed in writing by the Principal of Practice. No agent or person employed by or under contract with the practice has the authority to alter or vary these terms and conditions in any way.
